You have to experience its awesome sound, based on the variable transconductance tube design that was used in legendary compressors. Glory Comp is so good... it's almost un-Fair!
Our award winning all tube mic preamp. Five unique and meaningful features that no other preamp offers. Eight-tubes, fully-differential (balanced) signal path with 75dB total gain via precision 1dB and 5dB stepped attenuators, four variable transformer impendances PLUS two balanced-bridged inputs, five variable rise-time settings, precise VU meter with five viewing options, separate +4dB and -10dB transformer outputs, microphone and +4dB line level balanced inputs. Separate instrument input with two options for input sensitivity.
The SuPRE is a two-channel stereo microphone and instrument
preamplifier that uses a high resolution tube signal path for legendary Groove
Tubes tone and response. Like the ViPRE, it features variable transformer
impedance settings on each channel (300/600/1200 ohms), with 4 high quality
Nickel core input and output transformers. The SuPRE provides a hefty 72dB of
gain on each channel, using 4 specially selected GT pentode/triode dual element
vacuum tubes (2xGT6922 dual triodes and 2x GT6CH8 pentode/triode tubes).
Understanding the GT Tube Performance Rating System
Many folks who buy our tubes know that we use a special process to categorically rate our tubes so that players can select the tubes that best fit their preferred tones and styles. However, we get a lot of questions about our rating system, and what the numbers actually mean.
IMPORTANT BIAS NOTE: If you're replacing a tube with the SAME TYPE of Groove Tube (tube model and rating), you do not have to rebias your amp. In any other case, you should always have a qualified amp tech reset your amp’s bias whenever changing your tube type or rating number. Contact Groove Tubes if you have questions about which tube will work for your amplifier, or whether re-biasing is required.
